Mike Kennedy is the head baseball coach at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, and has held that position since prior to the 1997 season. His record, entering the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball season, is 510-352-3. Under Kennedy, the Phoenix have won four Southern Conference regular season championships, one Southern Conference Baseball Tournament championship, and made five NCAA Regional appearances.[1]
Kennedy was a two-time honorable mention All-American at Elon, then competing at the NCAA Division II level, playing catcher from 1998-1990. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the ninth round of the 1990 draft.[2]
